We are totally stoked to have the opportunity to present at this year’s IN[FOCUS] gather in Los Angelas! We have been to IN[FOCUS] each of the past three years in Austin, New Orleans, and most recently Charlestown, SC. Each year we have left as better filmmakers and better business people, with plenty of new ideas and inspiration to help make each year better then the last.
We will be presenting on our favorite topic – same day films! Since we started doing same day films over 3 years ago we have delighted most of our couples and their wedding guests with same day film presentations. People are always amazed and moved by our ability to create such a moving film in just a few short hours. During our presentation we will be covering our entire process including the initial preparations before the wedding, our team’s workflow the day of, the presentation of the film during the wedding reception, and how we deliver the film after the wedding. Our presentation will provide filmmakers who create all different types of films with plenty of great nuggets to expedite their editing process while focusing on telling a great story that will move your audience.
Click here to register for IN[FOCUS] 2013! Space is limited to 250 seats so don’t wait, do it now!!
Cheers,

Stacey + Earl had a beautiful fall wedding in Rye Beach, New Hampshire. We loved the feeling of the New Hampshire coast during this time of year and how much of it you experienced throughout their wedding day. The morning of their wedding Earl and the guys hit the beach for some football, while Stacey and the girls got ready an amazing house on the water in nearby New Castle… beautifully designed with plenty of great natural light. Their ceremony took place at St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea – a quaint, historical summer chapel located just across the street from the beach. Another great touch was the priest that married Stacey + Earl was the same priest that married Stacey’s parents. After their ceremony the bridal party hopped on a trolley for some photos nearby and then everyone headed over to the reception just around the corner at Abenaqui Country Club.
Their band Men in Black kept the dance floor packed with everyone having a great time through the end of the evening. We had a lovely time working again with Heather of Simply Inviting Weddings. Working with a great planner like Heather will make all the difference in the planning process and allow you to sit back and enjoy your wedding. She’s also great at helping us out throughout the day so we can keep focused on creating an amazing wedding film. Their photographer Shea Roggio made the trip from Philly to shoot Stacey + Earl’s wedding and was awesome to work with. His style and approach was a perfect match for us and his work speaks for itself!
We were so lucky to be able to capture Stacey + Earl’s beautiful wedding. Enjoy their same day film!

We didn’t get a chance to meet Lucy + Leif until just before their rehearsal dinner at The Contented Cow, but we already knew they were going to be a ridiculously cool couple. These are two of the most adorable people we have ever had the pleasure to film, and their wedding was every bit as fun as they are – as I’m sure you’ll see when you watch their film. I don’t think Lucy + Leif could be anymore perfect for each other… seriously!!
Their wedding ceremony took place in the Boe Memorial Chapel at St. Olaf College, followed by a ridiculously good time at The Grand Event Center. We absolutely loved working with their photographer - Adam Johnson of Brockit Photography. He was really easy going, incredibly easy to work with, and as an added bonus I don’t think we saw him use a flash the entire time!
We usually have a crew of three for our same day edits but this one was just the two of us so it was a bit more challenging. The Grand had a big drop down screen on stage so we were able to use that, which was super cool. Everyone was thrilled with the presentation, and we are thrilled with the whole experience working with Lucy + Leif.
We will definitely see you guys again soon!
Cheers,

Jen + Alfred | Maui’d {short film}

Jen + Alfred’s destination wedding adventure in Hawaii involved a cruise around the islands followed by a week on Kauai. We met them the morning of their wedding day, after the ship docked at the Maui port in Kahalui. After spending some time hanging out with them on the ship in the morning we all headed up to their wedding venue – The Plantation House in Kapalua where the final wedding preparations began with friends and family. As you’ll see in their film these two have a passion for DIY projects and they definitely brought quite a bit of that creativity to their beautiful Maui wedding.
We were so lucky to have the chance to get to know and work with the incredible Maui wedding photographer Anna Kim. One of the raves on her website says, “Spending time with Anna, you instantly feel like you have known her for years.” A[manda] and I had the chance to hang out with her and her husband Elan over dinner and drinks the night before in Paia… we had a wicked good time and working with Anna on Jen + Alfred’s wedding day was so much fun! Anna brought Jen + Alfred out for an a stunning golden hour photo shoot, heading out on the lava rocks for some of that glorious Hawaiian imagery which certainly made for wedding cinema magic!
We feel so lucky to have been able to film Jen + Alfred’s beautiful day on Maui. A[manda] and I can’t wait to get back to the Hawaiian islands again in the very near future!
Enjoy their film!

And now for something completely different… a theatrical wedding film trailer featuring Kristin + John’s stunning Boston wedding. They were married at Harvard Memorial Church at Harvard University in Cambridge with a beautiful reception at Boston’s Mandarin Oriental. It was incredible joining their all-star cast of Boston’s best wedding vendors as we captured their wedding. This film is certainly a departure from our typical work, capturing the drama and elegance of an amazing event worthy of more then the five stars awarded to Boston’s premiere hotel and wedding venue. It is always such a pleasure working with Jessica and team at the Mandarin and Kristin and John’s wedding was certainly an exceptional experience. And as if their wedding wasn’t incredible enough, they enjoyed a honeymoon of anyone’s wildest dreams at Four Seasons’s Bora Bora resort. It was such a pleasure to film their amazing day and we hope you enjoy this dramatic tease of their blockbuster wedding film that we have in the works!
