Cathy + Ty | Boston Public Library {same day edit+}

Cathy + Ty had an incredibly beautiful wedding at The Boston Public Library on St. Patty’s Day. We had a great time getting to know these two and we had a lot of fun filming their wedding. Cathy got ready right next door at The Fairmont and they held their first look on the front steps of the library. The ceremony space was unlike anything we have experienced thanks to amazing lighting decor from Frost and beautiful floral designs from Petalena. The library is such an amazing venue on its own but they definitely brought it to another level. After the traditional wedding ceremony they held a Korean ceremony which was amazing to watch, we love it when couples incorporate cultural elements into their wedding day and we get to experience something new. The reception was so much fun and their band Dick n Jane was fantastic – they were tons of fun and sounded awesome! We had a great time working with their photographer Corinna Raznikov – her work is fantastic we are excited to work together again very soon!

Enjoy their same day edit! We played the same day edit just a few minutes after their first dance so we couldn’t squeeze it in the film the day of. I think you’ll see why we just couldn’t leave it out!

Kate + Dave | stuff we’re going to do {SDE}

We were really excited to head back to The Barn at Gibbet Hill for Kate and Dave’s wedding earlier this month. On one of their earlier dates together they saw the Disney/Pixar film ‘Up.’ They both thought it would be a cute movie for kids but as the story went on and they both had tears in their eyes, Dave couldn’t help but thinking about growing old together with Kate and all the wonderful adventures they would share together. How fitting that on their wedding day Kate’s gift was the adventure book from Up that Dave had made for her, filled with blank pages for all the stuff they are going to do together. They are currently on their first adventure as a married couple caravanning across New Zealand for a few weeks – how awesome is that!?!?

Kate had something up her sleeve for Dave as well which would come later in the evening. Dave is a HUGE Boston Bruins fan and she setup the voice of the Bruins Rene Rancourt to surprise Dave during their reception where they joined in on the Star Spangled Banner and Rene sung a few more tunes throughout dinner.

Kate’s step-father Court is a deacon and officiated their ceremony. He gave the most heartfelt sermon I think we have ever heard – a truly incredible moment before these two shared their marriage vows with one another. All together Kate and Dave had such a beautiful wedding and we were so lucky to get to know these two and capture their big day for them.

Kate and Dave also had an all-star team of vendors. Their photographers – Mariah and Trish of Snap! – were fantastic to work with and we could tell immediately by the way they were shooting how talented they are. They just posted a teaser photo on their blog with Kate + Dave standing in front of a wood pile – awesome!! Their DJs were Rick and Marc with nuimage entertainment and they were outstanding! The dance floor was packed all evening and the music sounded fantastic. Their florists B&G Sawin did beautiful work which really complemented the rustic feel of the barn.

Courtney + Matthew | I’ve hit the jackpot {SDE}

We had an incredible time filming Courtney and Matt’s Boston winter wedding! They were married on a beautiful January Saturday at St. Mary’s church in Charlestown. We’ve had the privilege of filming there before and the church is a true work of art and absolutely takes your breath away when you walk in. Their reception was held at The Fairmont Copley Plaza which has a magnificent ballroom, also quite breathtaking!

We absolutely love working with Ned Jackson… he’s one of our favorite Boston photographers and its always a treat to work together. The Johnson Brothers band kept everyone moving all night on the dance floor and they sounded great. The floral arrangements by Judy’s Village Flowers were absolutely beautiful! The staff at The Fairmont was wonderful to work with and set us up with a great spot in the balcony to stash our gear and work on their same day edit behind the scenes.

Chrissy + Gerald | Somebody get her a napkin! {SDE}

I first met Chrissy when she was a bridesmaid for Evelyn + Danny’s wedding last fall. A few months later A[manda] and I had a meeting with Chrissy and Gerald to discuss their wedding. We instantly knew we were going to have a lot of fun filming their wedding… I remember driving back from our meeting talking about how great a couple they are and how amazing their wedding was going to be. Well we definitely were right – it was a blast! They were married on a beautiful fall afternoon in Boston at the stunning Cathedral of the Holy Cross with their reception at the Westin Copley Place. We were really lucky to work with their planners – Lian and her team from Mikado Weddings. They helped us out tremendously before and during the wedding. They did a fantastic job and were outstanding to work with. We also enjoyed working with Binaryfilps Photography who were a pleasure to work alongside all day… not to mention their work is absolutley phenomenal!

These two were a bundle of fun all day long. Right after their first look Chrissy got a bit emotional and asked for a napkin to wipe her tears… Well Gerald sure was determined to find one for her as you’ll see in their film! The same day edit experience with these two was incredible. Since they already experienced one of our same day edits live at another wedding I knew their expectations were high and we had to bring our A game. Well they were ecstatic and I don’t think we ever got so many handshakes and hugs after… you guys are all awesome!

Jess + Micah’s wedding weekend in Vermont {same day edit}

The past couple of months have been pretty crazy and we’ve got some great stuff to share with you over the next few weeks…

Jess + Micah could possibly have had more fun at their own wedding then we have ever seen. Their wedding seemed to be so perfectly uniquely them and they loved every second of it. They were married in Arlington, Vermont at The West Mountain Inn and started things off with an 80′s cover band after the rehearsal dinner. Everyone put on their 80′s best and rocked out all night. I’m pretty sure Jess + Micah knew the words to every song and sung along the whole time. The morning of their wedding day was a typical wet fall New England day but seemed so perfect for an intimate wedding in the historic barn. They kept the party going late into the night and I don’t think anyone stopped dancing. As the evening came to a close the taco truck pulled up and made some of the best tacos we’ve ever had… fantastic late night munchies!
