Laura + Nick | 1437 {same day film}

Jeff and I knew that Laura + Nick were going to be fun to work with when we met them in Boston for supper with their photographer Mark Davidson. They were so friendly, easy going and not to mention totally into their same day film! Its no secret that I love filming groomsmen activities, needless to say I was thrilled to find out that Nick was planning a golf excursion at The International the morning before the wedding and I was fortunate enough to be able to join them for a bit.

Since they were so excited about the same day film experience we knew that it had to be amazing so I decided to present their film at the close of the wedding. When it was done Laura came up to me with tears in her eyes and said “That was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me” – those are some pretty strong and powerful words, her reaction to the film brought me to tears.

Jeff and I are so excited that we were able to be a part of Laura and Nicks wedding weekend and we cannot wait to see all of the amazing things that life will bring these two!

Cheers!

Kerry + Brian | I choose you {same day film}

Jeff and I have finally met a couple that enjoys traveling as much as we do … maybe even a little more! Every part of the wedding day had a travel element to it. Kerry + Brian talked about travel in their personal vows, they picked readings for the ceremony from different continents and even all of the decor elements had a travel vibe. Kerry’s Matron of Honor, Rachel put together all of the stunning floral arrangements for the wedding while Brian’s mother designed most of the bridal paper giving the wedding a truly personal and intimate feel.

The setting for Kerry + Brian’s wedding couldn’t have been more perfect, the views from the Boston College Club are amazing! They really give you that “on top of the world” type feeling.

Our evening ended with a note from Kerry and Brian – it’s couples like this that remind us every day how fortunate we are to be able to work with people who love working with us as much as we love working with them.

Cheers!

Maris + Jason | this is the best day ever {same day film}

Maris + Jason had been planning their Belle Mer wedding for over two years and after meeting with them for dessert Jeff and I knew that we wanted to take a slightly different approach to their same day film focusing more on the details leading up to their wedding and the gifts that they gave to one another. Maris + Jason made sure that all of the details were unique to them, from the bouquets that were wrapped in Maris’ grandfathers ties to the writing if their own personal vows.

The ties around the bride and bridesmaids bouquets added the perfect accent to the stunning floral designs that Kim at Greenlion Design provided. It was our second time working along side Greenlion at a Longwood Events wedding, and we were so excited to be able to film the ceremony floral setup that morning!

One of the things that Maris + Jason told us that they were excited about on their wedding day was the food so I contacted Chef Michael Hervieux of Belle Mer to see if it would be possible to film some of the food prep and plating for the wedding. It was amazing to see everyone working in the kitchen, the food was absolutely delicious and the plating was stunning!

We loved working with Maris + Jason’s wedding planner Kristin of Details With Love she was so friendly helpful and easy to work with… Jeff and I hope that we will get to work with her again soon!

Jeff and I have been waiting to work with Connecticut photographer Steve DePino for a while now and were thrilled to find out he would be working with us at Maris + Jason’s wedding. His laid back approach was amazing to watch, its like he was everywhere and yet nowhere all at the same time. We cannot wait to see the photos!

Cheers!

A[manda] & jeff presenting at IN[FOCUS] 2013 in LA!

We are totally stoked to have the opportunity to present at this year’s IN[FOCUS] gather in Los Angelas! We have been to IN[FOCUS] each of the past three years in Austin, New Orleans, and most recently Charlestown, SC. Each year we have left as better filmmakers and better business people, with plenty of new ideas and inspiration to help make each year better then the last.

We will be presenting on our favorite topic – same day films! Since we started doing same day films over 3 years ago we have delighted most of our couples and their wedding guests with same day film presentations. People are always amazed and moved by our ability to create such a moving film in just a few short hours. During our presentation we will be covering our entire process including the initial preparations before the wedding, our team’s workflow the day of, the presentation of the film during the wedding reception, and how we deliver the film after the wedding. Our presentation will provide filmmakers who create all different types of films with plenty of great nuggets to expedite their editing process while focusing on telling a great story that will move your audience.

Click here to register for IN[FOCUS] 2013! Space is limited to 250 seats so don’t wait, do it now!!

Cheers,

Stacey + Earl | that’s what love is all about {same day film}

Stacey + Earl had a beautiful fall wedding in Rye Beach, New Hampshire. We loved the feeling of the New Hampshire coast during this time of year and how much of it you experienced throughout their wedding day. The morning of their wedding Earl and the guys hit the beach for some football, while Stacey and the girls got ready an amazing house on the water in nearby New Castle… beautifully designed with plenty of great natural light. Their ceremony took place at St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea – a quaint, historical summer chapel located just across the street from the beach. Another great touch was the priest that married Stacey + Earl was the same priest that married Stacey’s parents. After their ceremony the bridal party hopped on a trolley for some photos nearby and then everyone headed over to the reception just around the corner at Abenaqui Country Club.

Their band Men in Black kept the dance floor packed with everyone having a great time through the end of the evening. We had a lovely time working again with Heather of Simply Inviting Weddings. Working with a great planner like Heather will make all the difference in the planning process and allow you to sit back and enjoy your wedding. She’s also great at helping us out throughout the day so we can keep focused on creating an amazing wedding film. Their photographer Shea Roggio made the trip from Philly to shoot Stacey + Earl’s wedding and was awesome to work with. His style and approach was a perfect match for us and his work speaks for itself!

We were so lucky to be able to capture Stacey + Earl’s beautiful wedding. Enjoy their same day film!
