Jaime + Kate | everyday is a smile with you {preview}

For Jaime + Kate a destination wedding on Cape Cod was the perfect fit. They had a fun, laid back wedding in beautiful Truro, Massachusetts. It sits almost on the tip of Cape Cod and its a spectacular place to experience, especially in the summer. They held their wedding and reception at Hedgebound of Cape Cod, a private estate originally built in 1840. The home and the grounds were really magnificent and it brought such a unique experience to their wedding that seemed to fit their fun personalities perfectly.

I always love it when couples write their own vows, but this one takes the cake! The emotion and love Jaime + Kate shared with each other is really incredible. Speaking of cake (cheesy pun intended) instead of ‘cutting the cake’ they just dug in and ate it right at their table… how awesome is that?!? The estate also had a playhouse on the grounds that has gotta be every kids dream… It was a bit of a tight fit for adults getting through the door but nonetheless during dinner a few vendors may have snuck in there to eat!

We really enjoyed working with their planners Liz and Carrie with Liz Novack Events, as well as their photographer Julia Cumes. Liz and Carrie were very helpful throughout the day and Julia was really fun and really easy to work with. They all made it that much more enjoyable and made it easier for us to capture great moments for Jaime + Kate.

Julie + Kris | a Cape Cod same day edit

Julie + Kris met in college at Villanova University and started dating during their senior year. After they graduated Julie went to work in Maine and Kris went to law school in New York. Despite a six hour drive between them Julie knew it would last after Kris made his first trip to Maine. They spent every weekend together and after six years together the had a beautiful wedding at the Wequassett Resort in Harwich.

We connected with these two through Heather Minicucci with Simply Inviting Weddings who is one of our favorite wedding consultants and incredible to work with. Julie + Kris had an incredible team of vendors. Their wedding had all the right ingredients… an incredible venue, beautiful decor, breathtaking floral arrangements, an exquisite cake, the awesome sound of Night Shift (who kept everyone on the dance floor until the very end of the night), and of course a same day edit!

Michelle + Ethan | Cape Cod wedding film trailer

Michelle + Ethan were married last month on a beautiful day at the Ocean Edge Resort on the Cape. A[manda] joined me to film their day and we were in awe of the awesome venue from the moment we pulled in… so much so I actually spent a couple nights staying there a couple weeks later when we had another wedding out on the Cape! These two are such a fun, sweet couple. I remember leaving the first meeting with them really excited and hopeful that they would select us to film their wedding… and of course I was even more excited when they did! The reveal took place in front of the Carriage House where they later had their reception, and they had a beautiful ceremony out on the beach.

We really enjoyed shooting alongside their photographers – Jen & Dick of Freestyle Weddings from Danvers, MA. They were really easy to work and their work is AMAZING! I can’t wait to see what they captured for Michelle + Ethan!
