A few weeks back we had Greg Hodges of 5 Star Events in our studio to talk about his business. Greg was recently voted Boston’s best Wedding DJ! We’ve had the pleasure of working together a few times and Greg is AMAZING to work with! He definitely knows how to keep a dance floor full and his couples love working with him, just read his 90+ reviews on WeddingWire!
Here is a short piece we put together with Greg to hear more about the experience they deliver and what makes them different the others.
To say I love sushi may be a bit of an understatement. I eat a lot of it and I’ve had it from countless restaurants in many different cities. Chef Anna from Yama Zakura in Northborough, MA makes the best sushi dishes I have ever had. Its no surprise that she won the Worcester’s Best Chef Judges Choices Award in 2008 and 2009. On January 31st, 2010 she won the 2010 People’s Choice Award and I was fortunate enough to be there to capture it all and sneak in a few samples as well.
The booth uplighting, GOBO and video display were done by Anthony of Revelation Productions
. RP also DJ’d the entire event and the YZ animation at the end of the video was also done by RP.

I spend a lot of time with non-wedding projects as well but don’t often posted too much here. I recently put together a piece for Vaillancourt Folk Art that is currently featured on their website. Here is a bit about what they do, copied from their website…
Vaillancourt Folk Art, the American studio that created the original contemporary chalkware santa, has been hand-creating highly detailed, hand-painted collectible chalkware heirlooms from antique moulds since 1984 with the primary goal of creating that one special gift to be handed down for generations. Vaillancourt Folk Art is family owned and operated and sells their chalkware figurines to stores around the nation, including in their retail store in Sutton, MA and their on-line catalog.
I definitely felt the Christmas spirit when I walked into the Vaillancourt studio earlier this month and it was so wonderful to see the quality, care and attention to detail that went into every piece they made. Every piece they make is a true work of art and it is incredible that this is all being done in our own backyard. I hope you enjoy the online tour in this film and if you get a chance to check out their Sutton studio in person you’ll be glad you did.
