Renee + Allen | coast to coast {feature film preview}

Renee and Allen had a beautiful south shore wedding on an absolutely gorgeous day in late May. Their story started when Allen asked Renee on a date exactly eight years before their wedding date. Two years ago they took a trip to San Francisco and visited Muir Woods to see the incredible Redwoods… if you haven’t been there put it on your must do list if you make your way to San Francisco, it will blow your mind! They hiked up a trail by Muir Beach and had a picnic on a hill that overlooked the beach below and the Pacific Ocean. As they were standing on the edge of a cliff in a picture perfect setting Allen proposed, and as I’m sure you know by now Renee said yes! How fitting it was that for their wedding back home they got to spend some time around the beach with Renee getting ready at her family’s home in Plymouth and a fun photo/cinema session on the beach after their ceremony.

Their reception took place at Black Rock Country Club which was an incredible venue and we all had a chance to get some shots out on the golf course. We were thrilled to work a familiar team, Melissa Coe Photography (check out their awesome photos on her blog) and Revelation Productions. We love working with familiar faces and these guys always do such a great job.

Michelle + Matt | they both have an “M” as the first letter of their names [SDE]

These two high school sweethearts had their first date at the Wayside Inn Grist Mill when they were young teenagers. When Matt proposed he took Michelle back there and re-inacted their first date with the same food, followed by a BBQ at his parent’s home with friends and family.

They were married this past Saturday afternoon at the Martha Mary Chapel in Sudbury, Massachusetts. This chapel is not only a Sudbury landmark, but if it looks familiar you may have seen it in such Hollywood films as “Ghost of Girlfriends Past” or “The Invention of Lying.” The chapel was commissioned by Henry Ford to be built after the 1938 hurricane using wood from fallen trees. They have held weddings there since 1941 including our special guest cinematographer Kurt’s very own wedding in 2005.

I’ve been looking forward to their wedding since they booked with us over a year ago, its almost sad now that’s its over. A[manda] and Kate joined me for their day and we had a blast! We were so lucky to connect with these two, they are a perfect fit for what we do best. Plus, they love sushi! …could I say more?

We got to work with Revelation Productions once again who provided incredible music and lighting all night as always! They helped us out with the a/v for the same day edit presentation too which is a huge help! They held their reception at Charter Oak Country Club which was such a beautiful venue! The team there was very helpful.. they gave us a big conference room to use for editing and even provided take-out containers if we didn’t finish our meals… which were really quite good!

Michelle’s Godson Nolan had given his own speech at the rehearsal dinner and was asked to read it again in the morning. It was a fantastic moment and adds such an incredible dynamic and such an awesome perspective to telling the story of these two. Enjoy their same day edit…

Revelation Productions @ The Biltmore

We love working with Revelation Productions, they take the experience of the wedding to the next level. They also help us out with our a/v for our same day edit presentations, and provided a beautiful display for Brittany + Roy. Here is a piece that showcases some of their work featuring the introductions and dancing at Brittany + Roy’s wedding at The Biltmore in Providence.

Brittany + Roy | The Biltmore – Providence [SDE]

We had an awesome time filming Brittany + Roy’s wedding Saturday at The Biltmore in Providence. I lived in Providence for a couple years but had never been in The Biltmore – which has been an icon in the city since the roaring 20s.

Brittany + Roy had not only an incredible venue for their wedding but an incredible team of vendors. Revelation Productions did a phenomenal job with the lighting and music, and they busted out the turntables for this one. The Biltmore’s ballroom is incredible but as you’ll see the lighting really takes the ambiance to a whole new level.
The wedding day experience for the bride and groom goes well beyond the ceremony and reception. For Brittany + Roy we were able to capture some earlier parts of the day that you may not see in a typical wedding video, but I think it certainly helps to capture who they are and the experience of their day.

Kristy + Tony | 10.10.10 same day edit

Some of you may remember Kristy and Tony from their save the date a year ago. Its no doubt 10.10.10 was one of the hottest wedding dates of the season but to Kristy and Tony the date had more meaning – it was the 4 year anniversary of their 1st date at Old Sturbridge Village (also where we did their engagement/save the date shoot).

You couldn’t have asked for a better day – it was an absolutely gorgeous fall day and I got to work with two of my absolute favorite wedding pros – Melissa Coe with Melissa Coe Photography and Anthony D’Elia with Revelation Productions (DJ & lighting). It made the day that much better for everyone. Its always a treat to work with Melissa – she did a surprise slideshow of some of their photos during dinner and they looked absolutely incredible! Her creative eye and incredible work blows me away every time we work together. Anthony did a great job with the music all night and the lighting looked awesome!
They were married at St. Patrick’s church in Whitinsville with their reception at Lakeview Pavillion in Foxboro. That was my first time shooting at Lakeview and I loved the look of the ballroom and there were some great spots outside for some nighttime photos & cinema.
Enjoy their same day edit!
